SPRING WRESTLING!
Sunday April 11 Grapplers Edge Wrestling will begin our 8 Week Spring Wrestling Program!
In this 8 Week Program our focus is further strength development and general mat time (drilling & skill execution). Our main competition styles for this time of year are Freestyle, and/or Greco; however we will also cover finishing attacks for all styles depending on what our Wrestlers may be preparing for.
Also, Nick Marr will be coaching with Coach Jess Zobeck, to give our Wrestlers even more individualized attention than before. Nick came through the Grappler's Edge program himself, and was one of the top ranked wrestlers in the State of Colorado throughout his career in both Collegiate and Freestyle Wrestling.
The schedule is Sundays from 3pm to 5pm, and the fee for the program is still only $199... Please have your checks with you, and be ready to wrestle this Sunday!

HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING
Our programs allow the high school Wrestler the opportunity to develop the character, work ethic, conditioning level... as well as the techniques and strategies needed to become a CHAMPION!
COACHING STAFF:
Wrestling Director/Coach: Jess Zobeck was a three-time State place winner in High School (in Iowa), an All-American for Iowa Central, and a three-year letterman at the University of Iowa. Jess qualified to compete in the 2005 U.S. World Freestyle Team Trials and trained for the 2008 U.S. Freestyle Wrestling Team at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
Coach: Eric Koble was a four year varsity letterman and a member of 4 NCAA National Championship Teams at the University of Iowa. Eric is very passionate about teaching the Iowa style of the "relentless attack" that he learned first-hand from the legenday Dan Gable. Eric is now an attorney in the Denver area, and is also a U.S. National Champion in both Jiu Jitsu and Submission Wrestling.
Coach: David Nowick wrestled for Stanford University where he was a National University Greco-Roman Champion. He is also a 2 time US Senior National All-American, a 1996 US Olympic Trials medal winner, and a 5X Veteran's Freestyle & Greco-Roman National Champion.
Coach: Phil Nowick was a four-time Colorado State place winner in high school and a three-year letterman at Stanford University. He also placed in the prestigious Midlands tournament.
Program Director: Sheldon Marr is a former Judo and Wrestling Champion, and was a Coach of the U.S. Pankration Team for the 2000 World Championships, and the U.S. Grappling Team for the 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010 World Championships. From 1986 to 1991, he coached more than 12 State Champions and 40 State Medalists at Cherry Creek high school.
Many of our previous Training Programs have offered mini-camps with Olympic and World Champions, U.S. World Team Members and NCAA Champions, including Mark Schultz, Kevin Jackson, Kendall Cross, Barry Weldon and Matt Lackey.

This is the 9th year of our High School Wrestling Program, and our number of State Qualifiers and State Medalists goes up and up each year. In eight years, 181 of our wrestlers have qualified for the State Championships, 121 of them have medaled, 53 have reached the Finals, and 32 have been crowned Champion!
